So I was syncing my 650 and something happened while I was doing that. Now my contacts, messages, and call log are gone! I had some very important messages I needed and now I need to be able to get them back. I've heard that there is some software that can recover the flash memory. Someone please tell me that I can get my info back!!!

The only way I know of is if the information is on your desktop computer. If you had software for backups installed, than you could retrieve that way. In terms of recovering from flash memory, I don't believe that's possible.

I didn't have any of my new data backed up. I had just been searching the internet and came across that story about being able to recover all kinds of information from your cell. I was desperately hoping someone might know how.

Unfortunately, your data must be either backed up to your PC/Mac or you'd have to utilize a backup program. If the data isn't on your Treo, then your best bet would be to HotSync in hopes it transferred before the incident. Going forward, you might want to try something along the lines of Backup Buddy.

You could check with any one of the various data recovery services, and see if they work with smartphones. It will probably cost you anywhere from $200-300 and up, if it's even possible.

I know of one data recovery product, CardRecovery, that does support SD cards, but was designed to recover media files. I don't know if it'll work with .pdb files or other non-media file formats. As Kreth said, data recovery services like PhotoRescue or flashback may be able to do better. But, as one would expect from the desperation of their customers, they tend to be very expensive.
