lost voicemail password

hey guys.. i lsot my voicemail password and i cant get it back. I tried hard resetting and it still doesnt work. It say "please enter ur password.. then press #" since i dont know my password, I just press #. Then it asked for my 10 digit mailbox number. Which i think is my phone number, so i typed it in and then press pound. It just repeat what my number was then it ask for my password again (if i typed in a random 10 digit number it say "sorry incorrect". Then i press # and repeat the whole process of typing in my 10 digit voicemail number.. it keep going on and on for these 2 steps. can any one help me?

Call your service provider, prove who you are to their satisfaction (do not kill yourself to satisfy them) and ask them to reset your password to something you can change yourself or do what I do, tell them the password you want.

benjie's right. Your voicemail password has nothing to do with your Treo. It's established by your wireless carrier and needs to be reset by them. Before they do it, check if their resetting your password will result in the loss of any saved voicemail messages.
