Default Media Reccomendations?

I'm an independent filmmaker, and I'm interested in a phone that can, to a small degree, double as a a laptop, internet, and a media player. I aim to show small video to others from whatever device I chose, and I was curious if anyone reccomended the 650, or advised that I wait until the 700 comes out?

Also, does either model support Quicktime MOV, preferably in H.264 format/codec, or should I aim to reformat in a different compression should I chose to go with the 650 or 700?

650 vs 700 is based upon your choice of OS. You also have to consider that the Treo 650 is a 4th generation product. The 700 for all intensive purposes is a completely new product - considering it will be the first to run Windows Mobile.

The Core Pocket Media Player supports various compressions - although I'm not sure if it supports H.264. Best of all, it's free. I'm converting to mpeg 4 and it's working well on both the Treo and the iPod video. Where are you outputing the video from?

Do we have any idea in regards to the stability and reliability of this "new product?" I have had many recommendations to wait and give it a go simply because it will be the "new hot thing" but I predominantly aim to possess something that is reliable.

We edit in Adobe Premiere and we compress our exported AVI's into HD MOV files through QuickTime Pro.
