Default Microphone stopped working (water damage)

    Help!

So my beautiful new treo received a brief bath in the AuSable river last weekend. I removing the battery and dryed it out as quick as I could. Althought everything seems to work fine, when I make a call, my microphone either barely works or doesn't work at all. I can hear the other party just fine. I was hoping it would be cured by plugging in the heaset, but the same problem occurs. I've tried hard-resetting it and no luck. The only last ditch effort I can think of is to try one of those bluetooth headsets. Anyone ever had a similar experience? Considering the symptoms, I think the damage is deeper than just the microphone itself, but maybe the circuit the mic is connected to considering the plugin headset didn't do it.

    Thanks

Not sure how long it has been since you gave the treo a bath.....but give her at least a couple of days to dry out. I've had other cel phones take bathes (washing Machine) and it took a couple of days and they were back to normal. Of coarse there was the one that dropped into the Maragrita and she never sobered up.

    Good Luck
