You are the MAN! Macs rule. There are a lot of us lurking around here. And now, thanks to a product called Parallels Desktop your new Mac will natively run Windows with no real speed cost right in a window on your desktop (it'll also blow up to full scrren if you want). No worries about any Windows software you may want to hold onto.

.Mac (pronounced "dot mac") is Apple's web-based connectivity, storage, and multimedia service. It costs about $8/month. With it, you get a whole lot of stuff, including web mail (IMAP, so it's push compatible) with a "mac.com" domain, 1 GB online storage, web page & media sharing, etc. etc. etc. Too numerous to discuss here but here's an introductory FAQ to read. The best part is that .Mac integrates with your address book (usually!), calendars, browser bookmarks, etc. so you can use them from any computer. Even better, you can sync two devices (e.g. a Mac & a Treo) such that their info doesn't diverge.

At any rate, .Mac the web service is different from Macintosh the computer line. MArkSpace is a great developer dedicated to improving synchronization solutions between Apple computers and various handheld devices.

    Cheers,
