Missing Sync with iCal & Address Book: Daylight savings & Double addresses
Hi there,
I used Missing Sync 5 for the first time on my Treo last night.
1. I'm in Sydney & we have Daylight Savings time at the moment. All the events on my Treo have been pushed forward an hour and have Australian Eastern Standand Time (non daylight savings) in brackets after them. For example an event tomorrow morning used to read:
10:00 - Event
Now it reads:
11:00 - Event (10am AEST)
Which means both times are wrong. Is there a way to correct this?
2. My iCal is now all over the place, especially for events that stretched from one day to the next over midnight. For example I had a regular weekly event starting Wed night at 10pm finishing 3am Thurs morn. These have all been changed to start 3am Wed morn finishing 10pm Wed night. Will I have to reset these manually?
3. I'm glad my birthdays and photos are now in sync on my Treo & Address Book, however a load of addresses have been doubled up and some contacts have had their details doubled up as well. For example one of my contacts had one home email address. Now they have the same address listed as work & home.
I would like to revert my phone & calendars to the way they were before I used Missing Sync. Is it possible to uninstall Missing Sync then HotSync using iSync to get things back to the way they were?
Any help is greatly appreciated, cheers

There is an option in Address Book to "Revert to Backup". I haven't used it, but that might be a quick fix. Are there dupes on the Treo? If not, then you can simply run the Uninstall Missing Sync from the Missing Sync Installer -- and then install Palm Desktop.

I'm afraid I'm not sure what's causing this.
Have you been syncing to dot mac? If so, then perhaps there is a way to have your dot mac events/contacts overwrite the desktop.
