mLights is a going crazy on me!!

Okay, so you how you can set a schedule to turn on the keyboard lights off and on... I have mine turn off at like 6am (cause I don't need them during the day light hours) and then turn back on at 8pm (so I can see what the hell I'm typing at night).

My problem seems to start at night... the phone will be idle (no lights, nothing, not in use) sitting on my desk or where ever, and all of a sudden the keyboard lights flash once or twice really fast and then it'll stay on for a while and then automatically turn off. Sometimes I'll hit the end key, that turns the contraption on and then hit it one more time and turns everything off.

Yeah, it's just the keyboard lights that turn on by themselves, what gives? Anyone else have this problem and/or a fix??

Any help or ideas would be great, thanks.

I am not familiar with mLights so I can't comment on what part that plays. What you are describing sounds like the normal activity of the Treo. When the end call key is pressed, the phone wakes up lighting the screen and the keyboard. If there is no activity, it turns off in a short time (if the center key isn't pressed to unlock it only lights for 2-3 seconds before shutting back off). If you press the end call key again, it manually turns off all.

The nightly lighting could be the mLights program telling the phone to turn the lights back on for the evening (if that is what mLights does) and the no activity after it activates causes the system to then "sleep" until you do something on the keyboard again.

I had a problem with my 650's keyboard lights coming on (and sometimes staying on) randomly. I use KB LightsOff (http://software.everythingtreo.com/product.asp?id=842) now, and no problems!

There's also KeyShades (freeware) but no schedule or other features.
