Try Graffiti before buying I used Palm organizers for 5 years before I got the Treo and was pretty good at Graffiti. I missed it so tried Graffiti Anywhere (a free trial). I was frustrated. First of all, Graffiti 2 annoys an old f*** like me who has to change habits and mind his T's and I's... Second, the screen is so small that it really doesn't lend itself to graffiti and tapping at the same time. If there's a way to quickly turn graffiti on and off so that it doesn't interfere with tapping, that'd be a help. Graffiti Anywhere has several choices for on/off, all of which cause problems (right bottom corner interferes with scroll bars, upper left interferes with menus, etc).
Third, I got a lot more errors with the full-screen graffiti than with the old graffiti area.
Bottom line is I'd make sure you can try any Graffiti program on the Treo before you buy. I've decided I better learn thumb typing (while not dropping the stylus), and learn to give up Graffiti. I'm waiting for my free keyboard from Cingular in the meantime. |
