The Treo 650 comes with Real Player - you can use that to play your MP3's.

I see the Real Player but also see that several members have separate apps for MP3's. Do these apps have significantly better features or is it just the preference of the members. Thanks

I'd say that most will agree that PocketTunes is probably the best MP3 player out there.

I am considering getting the Treo 650 and one of the benefits would be so I can get rid of my MP3 player. I only use it for listening to podcasts. Do you know if the built in Real Player app or PocketTunes will remember where you are in the MP3 file when you get a call or stop listening. I'd hate to always have it start from the beginning of the file each time I turn the unit off or get an incoming call.

Thanks for the help,

Kevin

Pockettunes lets you do that. Real Player does not

Default Windows Media Player

Most of my song files are WMA files. I have never used real player really... Will real player play these?
IS there an additional cost to get pocket tunes?
Is there an easy way to convert WMA files to just normal MP3 files?

Any user difficulties/annoyances with using 650 as my primary MP3 player?

Appreciate anyones help.
Thanks
Mark

Pocket Tunes (pockettunes.com) is an additional cost. The delux version does WMA files so you wont need to convert. The only difficulity that u would have would be how large of a SD card to get (2GB max is supported), other than that PT would be just fine for listening to music.
