My Treo 650 wakes up on its own randomly!!!
My treo 650 just wakes up on its own now at random times. It has been doing it for over a month now and I am not sure what 3rd party software might be causing it to do this. Literally there is no pattern to when it wakes up like this on its own. It just powers on to the default phone program as if the power button was pressed, but no on is pressing it...it just wakes on its own. Any suggestions anyone?

Do you have any to dos or calendar items which have alarms or alerts set for them? if so the device powers on to beep or whatever sound you have set to remind you of an appointment or task or even a sms or text message or voicemail.

Again, take a loook at PalmInternals and its alert monitoring feature. Ben

What/where is PalmInternals?
My 650 does this: it will be off and then for NO reason it powers up to the phone app default screen.
Any advice?

I have the same situation sometimes. I wonder if treo alarm is causing.....anyway do a soft reset and see if it does not stop. I do a soft reset every once in a while to keep it in line.

NO a mean since I have added treo alarm and have downloaded sprint NFL it sometimes wakes up. Probably it is NFL not treo alarm.
If your treo just reboots I would think it is some 3rd party software. After a reboot try and use the code for your carrier to see what caused the reboot. You can look in faq here for the code to type in or someone if they know who your carrier is may be able to tell you the code. It is something like #377##.

650 Wakes Up On Its Own
Ok, my 650 is still doing this - at random, maybe once an hour, it will wake up on its own to the phone default 'System Lockout' screen. It will stay on for the default system time (2 mins) then shut off again.
Anybody have any ideas????

And you have no approintments or tasks to do that would have an alert set for them or any missed phone calls or voice mail that would cause an alert. I get alerts on tasks that come on at 8:00 AM to remind me to get busy with already scheduled tasks to get done. If you dont have any of those type situations then it may be a third party app What 3rd party software do you have on the treo. Give us a list and we will help to track it down.

Thanks for your reply!
You are correct: I have no appts / tasks / etc anything that would cause an alert.
Following are my 3rd party apps:
