Need help ... treo keeps resetting

Hi guys.

Here's my current situation. I'm not new to Treo, had a 600, which no longer functions due to the fact that i dropped it Now got a used unlocked 650 from Ebay. Cingular phone and I have Tmobile, which maybe part of the issue? I installed the software that it came with and hotsynced it and realized that all my software from my previous treo now has transferred over. Now my Treo's acting funny and continually resetting on it's own. I can't even pick up phone calls because after I answer it, it automatically resets itself. I also noticed that the volume is kind of low on it. Even at the loudest volume, I can barely hear the person on both the headset and speakerphone. I've tried hard and soft resets and uninstalling and reinstalling the software on my PC hoping that might be the problem, but it hasn't helped. Someone had suggested possible updates, but not sure how to do that either. Any suggestions?! Please help.

You probably have third party software that does not like the 650 even though it works on your 600. You can copy your old software to another (renamed) file on your pc. Then delete the palm desktop and reinstall it. Do a hard reset on your treo. Make sure your treo works fine for a day or two before you sync (confirms treo is OK). Then you can sync and move your software over one at a time to see what is causing the reset. You maybe able to check the web sites to see if your versions of software is good for the 650.
Not sure what update version of software you installed on the treo. On the palm site you can get the one for tmobile for the 650 (free). Did you install the software for Cingular or t Mobile?
