well it plays on the computer but not your treo so its a probably a hardware problem in the treo. Have you sent it to someone else with a treo/other device to see if the audio works on their treo or other mobile device? do you backup regularly so you have a safe point to go back to for a hard resetb if necessary?

Yeah it can play properly in the computer but not on the phone

I have been searching in palm's knowledge base and came across a solution heres the number
Solution ID: 41247
I dont know if this applies in your case it deals with souns not working after an incomplete install on a 650 updater. If you updated your 650 before the problem started this could be the solution for you. Just a thought

I guess try a hard reset afterr backup and if that does not work take the phone back and try again. Good luck.

Soft Reset
A soft reset is like restarting your computer. It solves many common hang-ups on your device. It does not cause data loss.
- Use the stylus to push the reset button in the back of your device.
- After your device re-boots, you will have to set your time and date.
System (Warm) Reset
A system reset stops whatever the device is doing and starts over again, bypassing any system extensions. This is a good way to get out of a "boot loop" error, and allows you to remove any recently installed third-party applications that might be causing the problem.
- Press and hold the UP button on the front of your device.
- While holding the UP button down, use your stylus to push the Reset button on the back of your device.
- When you see the "Palm Powered" screen appear, you can release the UP button.
- Remove any recently installed applications that may have cause the problem.
- Do a Soft Reset.
Hard Reset
Before you do a Hard Reset, back up the info on your device. A Hard Reset will erase everything on your device, all data will be removed. All preferences and formats and all other settings will revert to factory settings. Be sure all of your third party applications are backed up as well.
- Hold down the Power button on your device. (On the Treo 600, use the one on top, next to the antenna.)
- While holding down the power button, use your stylus to push the Reset Button on the back of your device.
- When you see the "Palm Powered" screen appear, you can release the Power button.
- A screen will appear asking if you want to Erase All Data. Press UP for yes (Hard Reset). Pressing any other button will perform a Soft Reset.
- Your Treo will lead you through a recalibration. Once that is done, you can reload your backed-up information and applications.

I'm wondering if one of the built-in codecs got corrupted, and that's why the OP's not getting any sound. Maybe a firmware update would solve the problem.
