Need help with SIM and Treo 650

Hi,

I have some questions regarding my new treo:

1] I recently brought a Treo 650 [unlocked version] and I want to use that with my existing T-mobile SIM card. When I insert the card i can not see any of the contacts [Contacts section is empty]. Is there anything I need to do in order to see my earlier contacts and messages in SIM, in my new treo...

Also, is it possible to check different sections of call history like Received calls, Missed calls, Dialed numbers etc., like I used to do it in my earlier mobile in an easy way.

2] Is it mandatory that i need to go back to home screen everytime I want to shift to a diff app .....

3] Can i save the number from which i got a SMS message or a missed call? how do i that...

Do you have your contacts on a pc? (palm Desktop or other program? If you do I think you could copy/paste from your old folder to the new software folder. Or if you are syncing contacts you can put them in outlook or palm and then sync. Might be the quickest.

When you are at the main screen and hit send, the top choice is call log. Then at the top of call log is a pull down (all, missed,incoming etc..)

From your main screen go to menu and over to preferences and I believe there is an option to prompt to add calls to your contacts that are not there allready. Not sure if that is what you want but you can get numbers from your call log also.

I did some research and figured out solution to question 3 and abt the call history [It is exactly as u said]. And for other quesitons here are more details:

1] The contacts are in my old SIM card. I am now using a new SIM. Is there a way to trasfer these contacts to my phone....I dont want to keep them on the SIM. [may be SIM to Comp --> and then Comp to Treo] Anyone know the process

2] Still no luck with this.... whenever I am working with any app... how do i go back to the previous screen.. instead of going to 'Home' and then coming back to this screen...

I think going home is the only way. You do have three programable buttons (one on side, other two on either side on nav button. I think the two on either side of the nav button can be programed to open two different apps.
