Need Info Re: Treo 650

Hi Everyone! I have been looking to upgrade from a regular cellphone to a Treo and I really appreciate reaching this forum which has been very helpful!

Regarding the service plan for the Treo 650, right now, I have T-mobile. If I were to purchase an unlocked Treo, would I be able to use it with T-mobile and if so, is anyone using the T-mobile service that can tell me whether it is a good service, cost efficient, etc. in comparison to Sprint, Cingular or Verizon. Hello there hbebiz,

Yup, you can use it on T-Mobile as long as it is a GSM Treo, and not a TDMA one. Normally it'll be mentioned in the specs of the phone when you're looking at it online. Just pop-in your SIM and go.

I don't use T-Mobile, so I can't help you there.

You can use tmo and access your email via a dialup account, or buy their gprs data plan for $20 p/m...

I have been reading a lot of the posts regarding the 650--great info--and thought I saw something about T-mobile coming out with a new Treo....the 670? Since I'm a T-mobile customer would it be to my benefit to wait until the 670 comes out and when is that, and does it have better features, and what are they, etc. This is a huge jump in technology for me as I have always had a cell phone and due to life changes feel I really need to bump up to a Treo to be better organized. Thanks in advance!!
