Default New Ringers

ok guys, as you may or may not know im new with the treo

i am looking for a way to play musictones of modern day artists on my treo as a ringer, im not sure whether i need to download an app or not, all i want to do is to play a musictone (one with words and actually music) not a standered ringer type, and set it as a ringtone. If there is a FREE easy way to do this..that would be great

please include hyper-links
thanks alottt

Welcome alec!

The way these forums work best is for you to search for the information you need, try out a few things, and then post a specific question if you're running into problems. We're here to help.

For example, your question is a commonly asked question by a new Treo user. As such, there's an abundance of information in the Treo 650 forum on what programs you can use (Call Filter, mRing, Ringo, miniTones, etc.), how to get an mp3 on your phone and use it as a ring tone, etc. You need but look to find the answer.

Best of luck, and welcome aboard.

-K

Not if you want the songs to go right to the treo itself. Its the best out there for that.

If u want to customiz rintones into groups, vips, and set individual sms ringotnes I recommend mring. It is not free but works well and has a lot more customizations that u can do than with minitones and saves internal rom memory.

I have heard good things about mring . . I know its cheaper than Ringo, which is what I use. Works GREAT!!! About the 3rd app I installed and I love it!
