Default New to forum

hello everyone,

i've been using Palm since 1996, but new to the forum.
Used first Palm Pilot, Palm V and currently use m515.
i just purchased Treo 650 for Verizon online.
can't wait to use it.
going to order Wi-Fi SD card also.

still need to order screen protector and case.
which screen protector is good? price varies from $1~10.

case is the part i can't make up my mind.
not sure if i should get silicone skin cover or a leather/plastic holster.
what is the most popular cases for treo?

thx all and i will STFF.

I don't think you can use the WiFi card with the 650, only with the 700. Looks like we're waiting for 700p to get WiFi on the Palm OS (maybe, hopefully). The only case I use is the belt case that holds it sideways like the P6 Pouch Case. I consider screen protectors an absolute "must". If I know there is a scratch on my screen, even if I can't really see it, I just wig out. I have issues I guess. As for bt headsets it seems like everyone has a favorite. I love the SE HBH-660 (the HBH-662 is the newer version). I get easy pairing, long battery life per charge, and no background noise. Volume is great, too.

Bluetooth - I use the Plantronics Discovery 640

Screen protector - I use the InvisibleShield

Case - I bought several cases and ended up just using the Seido Holster.

Welcome to the forum!

I like the silicone cases because they provide good protection for your Treo if you drop it and it keeps the Treo from sliding off the dashboard. There are several good BT headsets out there--I prefer the Jabra because the style hides the device behind the ear instead of covering the side of your face.

Just received Treo 650 in mail yesterday and I'm loving it.
Too bad u can't use Graffiti (i'm so used to it).
Vaja case is on order.
Invisible shield is on its way.

I haven't read the manual yet, but how do u use speed dial?
My bluetooth headset is detected by Treo but I can't get them to work together. any ideas?

Don't know which model you bought, but check out the headset's instructions on pairing.

The 3 that I've seen get the best reviews consistently are the Palm Treo BT Headset, Sony Ericsson 660/662, and Cardo Scala 500. I've also seen several good reviews lately of the Plantronics Discovery 640 that plwebb mentioned.
