Well, you'll need a program for your desktop that will convert your CD's to MP3's. The obvious and best choice is iTunes. Once you've converted your music to MP3's then you'll want to use either an SD Card Reader or CardExport to drag n drop your MP3's to your SD Memory Card.

Within your Treo, you can play these using Real Player or PocketTunes. If you want to use them as ringtones, you'll need either Ringo Pro or mRing. There are links at the bottom left of the homepage.

Chris,
Which do you like better (and why)? Ringer Pro or mRing?
Thanks.

I haven't used mRing, but plan on it once I get a free moment. This summer has been very busy -- I've been travelling quite a bit for weddings, communions, etc.

Anyway, I liked Ringo Pro, but had some issues with soft resets during incoming SMS messages. It didn't happen all the time. However, when it resets, you're phone is off. So, I'm sure I missed a few calls. For the most part, it was stable. I'm going to delete it and try mRing. For me, stability is key. If mRing delivers in that area, I'd probably side with mRing. Many people have great success with Ringo Pro. Either way, I'd suggest running the trial first. I really liked the Ringo interface - simple and the functionality was great. I did a review of Ringo Pro if you'd like more info on my experiences with it.

Default Right On

Thanks Chris.

Great resource you provide, btw. Was key in helping educate myself about the T650... eventually leading me to a purchase this past weekend (VZW). Such a sweet little tool.

Now if I could just NOT get online and run up a huge data tab, I'll be sitting pretty (yes, I am one of the ones that opted to go sans data plan, as I intend to use only phone and PDA functionality of my T650). ;)
