New Treo user, Cingular Data Plan ?'s

Hey guys,

I have been using a Palm since the IIIxe and finally made the jump over to the Treo 650, I bought it on eBay and should be here soon. My first question is should I go to my account on cingular.com and change my phone profile to my new Treo or leave it on my Moto Razr, does is matter? Second I am toying around with what data plan to get. The PDA connect seems like what I should buy but I have read a lot of things saying that just the regular MediaNet works fine. I found this MEdiaMax 200 Bundle on their website (link at bottom) would this work?

I've had this same plan for about a year now and have never had a problem with it. I can browse the web all that I want, check emails, send text messages and have never been charged over the 19.99 a month. I would highly suggest it. As far as changing your phone on your plan I think it's just used as a quick reference to see what is compatible with your device. It doesn't change anything as far as you plan or status with Cingular.

I am currently using medianet also! The only problem you might run into is older SIM cards. Very old sim cards don't work well in the 650 (I am talking 32 and 64k cards. Other than that, you should be fine!

Well I just got a new SIM card last summer. It says its a 64Ksmartchip, is that gonna be ok?

That is what I am using in my 680! You should be good to go . .
