I have a 650 that will not sync with the email server at work. Is there a way that I can test if my email server needs EMSTP? or SSL? I am positive that I using the correct IP address. I am also pretty sure that my email server is IMAP and not POP. HELP!

VersaMail error message: The connection was succesfully tested.

There are threads here with fixes that sometimes work for some and not for others. I would contact cing, sprint or whoever and have them help you set it up. Sprint is really good about helping.

Have your user name, password, servers info before calling.

If it is your WORK server, your service provider is not going to help you. You need to talk to your IT department. It could be POP, IMAP, could need SSL, or not, Exchange, etc., but your company's IT department will have to guide you first.

It's even MORE SIMPLE than that...check the server settings on your desktop email application! I am an IT guy and I'll admit it...we're intimidating
