new Treo650er

I love this site as much as i love my new treo 650..just got it about 1.5 weeks ago off of ebay...it did not come with the synch cd...so my questions so far

1) i downloaded the software for synch but do i have to have a memory card to have mp3's on the phone?
2) the internet on my treo was working fine up til like 2 days ago and now i just get a screen that says "please wait" and i'll let it sit for half hour and it will still say it, any adivce?

i tried to find threads that covered this but im too lazy to keep looking thanks in advance for the help.

*edit...i guess i "crashed" my 650 or reset it and now the internet browser is working so im still just trying to figure out how to add mp3's to the actaully phone...i just want to try it out right now...i plan soon to order a nice 2gb card*

check with your carrier to see if you are still set up for internet. They may have to reset your phone.

Music takes up so much space that you should get a card. A LARGE card at that. You can download music without a card.

it weird though i downloaded the app..pocket express..and most of the inner apps will work correctly and acess the internet but when i choose to just use the web browser it gives me that msg...and with the song thing do i just add the files using quick install?

Congrats on the new Treo! You can add songs directly to the Treo doing a quick install, but when you turned on that Treo for the very first time, you only had 23 megs to work with. So, taking your average MP-3 recorded at 128k, at 3:00 minutes, this is what?? 3-4 songs? and your memory on the treo is used up! On the other hand, getting an SD card and storing songs there is much more effective and keeps treo memory open for other stuff . . Plus, most computers today have card readers, so you can take that SD card out of the treo, plug into your computer and transfer those MP-3's right to it. Its faster than going through hotsync . .

As far as the internet problem, I am wondering what you homepage is, or where you are trying to start? I used google's mobile homepage. It can be slow sometimes, but most of the time, I am logged in and surfing in under 1/2 minute . . . You might want to try changing the homepage just to see if that might help. Thats the only suggestion I have there.
