I just purchased a 650 on ebay and will be getting it tmrow or monday..Can you use AIM on the treo 650? if so do i need to add a internet plan ? im on verizon right now and if i need a internet plan to use aim how much does it cost monthly on top of everything else? thanks in advance for the help

Congrats on the 650 and welcome to ET! You might want to spend some time in this thread. There are several IM options with a Treo 650! At least one of them for AIM is free! But to use AIM directly, you will need a data plan through Verizon. I am not a V user but I am thinking the unlimited plan is right around $44.00 a month. If this isn't right, I am sure someone will correct me . . You can also purchase IM's that are sent through your phone number. I am pretty sure that AIM allows this, but I am not an AIM user either. Some of the more popular IM apps allow for multiple accounts all at once and will run in the background so you can log on to AOL, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, googletalk, Jabber all at once, and leave them running as you go about your day . . .

thanks for the info! ya im looking for the cheapest plan possible, all i would want to be doing is AIm and not browse the internet is there anything for this? any more help would be appreciated
