I use it alot for documents (Spreadsheet mostly), but ive never really sync'd the treo with my computer so i dont have any backups, anyways, the other day my phone froze and then restarted and after that, alot of my programs were gone, including "Documents to Go"
Is there anyways to get it back? |

| My phone has froze before, but i never lose any of my data. Thats different. I would say, i dont think there is anyway to get back those files, but i could be wrong. You should at least sync your treo everyday, because you never know whats going to happen. |

| soft resetting shouldn't lose any apps, docs or anything.
But u could try another softreset see if everything restores. But if not I think you are out of luck. You might want to try googling a recover app for palm but I don't think they exist. The reason for that cause it is hard to recover anything that is on a flash device.
the only thing is to back everything up. U could also try NVbackup whcih backs everything up to your SD card so that u can have a backup when on the go. But if u use these programs I would be aware of your secuirty. Any PIM on there like cerdit cards, and so on. Could fall into the wrond hands if lost or stolen. The best thng I recommend in doing is that u use a secuirty app and a SMS kill switch.
I wish u luck with you docs. |

| Any reason not to simply reinstall DTG? Crashes often have unpredictable results, although deletion of an app is unusual. It's possible directory data has been corrupted.
For this reason, and because there are likely many orphan DTG files remaining which could interfere with an overlapping install, I suggest backing up vital data, performing a hard reset, and reinstalling DTG from scratch.

| Also u can always download the doc to go from there website again free.
If it is built in on the ram don't worry it will be there after your hard reset. |

| If no backup done, then no. May I suggest you take a look at Resco Backup? http://resco.net/palm/backup/default.asp

| I'd reinstall Docs to Go, then tell it to search for documents. And, as benjie suggested, invest in a backup app, just to be safe.

| DTG does have an occasional problem with indexes. On the 650 I had to delete/install twice and since no problems and once on the 700p. The backup advice though is really important. Ben
