Question Newbie with (another, I'm sure) bluetooth question...

So I just bought a Treo 650, and loving every minute of it (and got an amazing deal on eBay!). Except for one problem that I've come across. I saw another thread on here, but it didn't really answer it, so I will ask the masses again.

When I try to send files/pics/etc. to other treo users (or bluetooth users) it seems that I cannot send it. I turn the bluetooth on, make myself discoverable, connect to their device, enter passkey #s, and then when I go to send a picture (for example), it does not give me the option of being able to send it via bluetooth. The only options I have is sending it to my Pix Place (I have Verizon), or sending it to one of my contacts via SMS or MMS. Is there a hidden setting that I need to activate or something? Or as I've seen mentioned, is it a Verizon flaw?

    Thanks for the help!

I have had no luck bluetoothing other phones besides the treo. Some are restricted and bluetooth is ste up for headsets on most phones. (razer, katanna, blade)

I have seen posts here where you can bluetooth other treos but I have not tried it.

Thanks, plunker. See, the problem is that I can't even send stuff via bluetooth to other treo's. it's odd - i can't figure it out.

    anyone else?

The Verizon version of the Treo 650 disabled the option to send pics via Bluetooth. An apparent workaround is to put the pic in an album and then you're able to send the album via Bluetooth.

Thanks Alex! That helps a lot!

In speaking with friends last night who also own Treos (although they are on cingular/at&t), I had figured that it was probably a Verizon thing. I never would have thought to do an album thing instead. Ah well, I can still send the pics via MMS I guess. Do you (or anyone for that matter) know if that is just on the 650, or all Verizon treos?

[thinking aloud] I wonder now if there is a patch to fix that, or a way to upgrade to a newer version of bluetooth?
