NO bluetooth picture sending - Treo Forums

So I am thinking about moving from cingular to verizon. But i heard that you cannot send pictures through bluetooth on verizon? It that true.
I would get the 700p, so does anyone know if you can send pics. via bluetooth to other phones or pc.

Sure you can, I transfer from the device to the laptop without a hitch. You can Bluetooth from device to device also.

To be honest, its this exact issue I'm having with my Treo 650 that brought me to these forums. I'm not sure if its just the default setting, but when I sync my 650 with my laptop, all the info flows except for pictures. Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue?

Ok, I'm going to answer my own question here as I've found the solution by searching the Internets. The problem was that I didn't even have a "Media" tab in the Palm Desktop environment. The cause of this issue was that I downloaded the Palm Desktop software from palm.com and did not install the software that came on the CD (I've lost the CD a while back and got a new computer).

Anyways, Palm for some reason that is absolutely BEYOND ME, supplies Palm Desktop software WITHOUT media capabilities on their website. For this reason, bluetooth would not even give the option of transferring pics. The bottom line is that the fix for this problem is to re-install from the CD that came with the phone. If you've lost the CD, you can contact Palm and they will send you a new CD.

if palm will not send you one for free then you can also check out ebay as they have some usually in cell phones software Thats how I got mine as I bought my phone on ebay and it had no cd with it.
