    Default No Hotsync Button on Cable

    I have a red light indicating the phone is connected to the computer but the cord I have is aftermarket and doesn't have a hotsync button or a hotsync icon in the home screen. I'm running...
    Treo650-1.15-CNG

    How do I initiate hotsync?

    Have you tried to initiate it from the hotsync on your desktop?

    I tried syncing from the desktop but it waits for me to push the button.

    have you opened the hot sync application on the device?

    I don't see one. There is a Goodlink button but pushing it leads to the error message "error opening: missing component" and then the device freezes.

    Reloading the os fixed it. I followed a threat that said to hold down the power button and then press the reset button for several seconds.
