Default No sound to videos received via VersaMail

Hello,
I've got a problem with my Tréo 650 : I can send videos with the sound ; the person receives them on the same Tréo and can watch them with sound. But when she sends me videos which have sound on her side, when I download them (from VersaMail) I can see them but I don't have sound!

Can anyone help us to find the solution?

Thanks in advance
Bert

NB : the problem is even more critical if we consider that "she" is my girlfriend, she is in Brasil and I'm in France! Please help us!!!

Just a few questions to try and figure out what's up:

1. What are you using to play these video files?

2. Are the video files compressed when sent?

3. What type of files, exactly, is she sending you? For example, if she is sending .avi files with .mp3 audio, then you'd need mp3 plugins for the program you're using to watch the video with to hear the sound.

4. Is she recording these videos with her treo, and if so, what model does she have?

That may help to figure out what the issue is.

Thank you for trying to help. Here are the replies:
1/ It's with my Tréo, the application called "camera"
2/ I don't think the files are compressed
3/ She is trying to send files 3GPP2, taken with her Tréo 650 and sent with the same
4/see answer 3 above
Thanks again for your help

Doi you have sound oin your phone through your speakers? what about mp3s if you use your treo for that It might be a general sound problem If you use headphones those can mess up your sound in other apps. Have you tried listening to with headphones or just the speaker in the back of the treo.

Yes sound works well through speakers, both for mp3 and for movies taken with my Tréo (format 3GPP2). I never tried with headphones.

You might want to ask your network and see if they can put a trouble ticket on it and see if any thing is interfering with the transmission?
