No USB sync

Curious if anyone has ever experienced the loss of USB sync but still retaining the BT sync ability?

Couple of things. Car charger seems to have given up fitting in the Treo 650 (Cingular), though up until a couple of days ago, jiggling it would connect the power. But then yesterday, it stopped syncing via usb (Mac OSX), which worked just fine day before yesterday. I have checked the Palm site and searched here, though picking the right keyword to search on my issue proved daunting. The Treo reacts, but nothing occurs on the G5.

I did try a moving to different USB ports, a soft reset and even installed Palm Desktop on a WinLaptop, to no avail. It just won't sync via USB.

So my question is whether a hard rest might resolve this USB issue?

It sounds like where the charger plugs in to the phone the connection is bad or going bad. I hope it is your hot sync cable and not your phone, but ....if two different cables are having the same problem you have damaged your connection.....insurance????

Nope... no insurance (Cingular), though the good news is the Treo is only a couple of months old and while plugged into the sync cable, it does charge, so my car charger is likely bad.

Will take a run to Cingular and see what they run me through.
