 |  not able to sync with mac i am not able to sync my treo with my mac. i'm running mac os 10.4.3, i installed the palmone cd that came with the phone, i set up the 'enable palm os syncing...' from isync. from the bluetooth pane in system preferences, i was even able to pair the computer with the treo, and vice versa from the treo as well. but when i go to i sync and click on 'add device...', it sees the device, but says 'isync can not connect to this device'. once, while fiddling around with bluetooth settings on the treo, i was able to start a sync, but it crashed and it didn't appear that anything actually synced. i've tried hard reseting, reinstalling, everything. i can't even sync using the usb cable. any advice? |

| I have switched to using The Missing Sync to sync my Mac (10.4.3) and Treo 650. It was absolutely worth every penny to me. I started using Missing Sync before I upgraded to Tiger, because I found that using the Palm Desktop and iSync was too quirky. In fact, I purchased a Treo 600 that I absolutely gave up on and returned because of sync issues. I know this doesn't answer your question, but may give you an alternate solution. Good luck!

| thanks for the reply; i went ahead and used missing sync. it worked once, kind of - it froze towards the end. at least my contacts and calendar got on there. but now it won't sync anymore. it starts, then almost immediately stops (both on the device and on the computer). this is getting very frustrating! also, do you know anything about setting up a pop email account on the treo? thanks again. |

| just a follow up... i figured out that there was some extra non missing sync conduits in there that caused conflicts. but i had to reinstall the missing sync software as well, after taking them out, and that seemed to clear up the problem. as for versamail, i found out that verizon's 650 doesn't come with versamail pre-intalled, so i went ahead and installed. everything seems to be working fine! |
