Note Pad - Treo Forums

I can't find the note pad feature on my new Treo 650. It shows up on the Palmone desktop, so it must be there somewhere. What am I doing wrong?

Do you mean the Memo feature? If so, the button to the right of the 5 way navigator should bring it up, as the Treo is set up out of the box. If that brings up the Task, or To Do list, try hitting the Option Key (the black key to the left of the Z) and then the Memo button.

Thanks for your reply. The Note Pad application allows you to hand write notes as opposed to the Memo application which limits you to typing notes. My old Tunsten had both and I was told by Palm before I purchased it that the 650 had both and the deslktop software shows it. I just can't find it on my 650. Any help would be greatly appreciated it.

Do you mean hand write as in using the Graffiti progarm with a stylus? I don't think you can hand write anything on the Treo. There's no place to do it. This bothered me a bit at first, but once I got the hang of it I found I could keyboard much faster than I could ever do Graffiti, although I thought I was pretty good at Graffiti.

It sounds like the original poster is interested in an application that would allow one to scribble notes with the stylus freehand, saving them away as raster files. That's my read, anyhow. I am actually intersted in having a program like that too. Does the Treo come with one?

I too am looking for a hand-written notes feature as well. This is a key feature I need in a 650. So far, my searches turn up very little... which is surprising.

Not sure if this helps, but this is the only thing I have stumbled across that comes close to what you/we may be looking for. And it is for the 600. D'oh!
