    Default Notes and Contacts disappearing

I have a user here where I work that is experiencing issues with contacts he puts in his groups randomly disappearing days later, as well as notes he makes on other contacts within his groups. The information will stay in there for a few days, but disappears without any sort of rhyme or reason. It doesn't do this for everything he puts in, just abritrarily his Treo will lose information.

Typically all contact information is backed up on our mail service, but not extra information such as this. Anyone heard of this, are there any available fixes out there? Any help is much appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by putting in his groups?? If you mean he is putting a contact in under work or family and he goes back into family later and it is not there? Or is he looking in the "all" folder?

I would check his hot sync settings to be sure his defaults are set how he wants them. I usually add my stuff to the treo and have my defaults set to device overwrites desktop. What settings is he using for contacts? notes??is that calendar or tasks?

I am confused. When you say disappearing, are you stating that the entire file disappears or just the entry itself? If the file is disappearing, there are a couple of software solutions that will help reduce the annoyance.

Yep and we did not even get to "hiding" or securing entries in the PIM. Oh, well. Ben
