    Default "nother ringtone prob

I looked all over the web for my favorite oldphone ringtone, and couldn't find it anywhere (i'd appreciate it if you have it) and found a coughing man ringtone. I tried to download it in MP3 format, and the choices were to send it to REALplayer or my card. I tried saving it to realplayer first, and after downloading realplayer didn't like it, saying it was an unrecognized format. I then tried to save it to card (this is with Blazer), and I got a "not enough memory, free up space" error, even though I have a 2 gig card, and it's not close to full. The file is coming down from audiosparx.net as a .cfm file, and I don't know if that could be the problem. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. I think this was easier with my Kyo 7135, way back when...

I've never gone that particular route for ringtones but I'd guess your tone may be greater than Blazer's 2meg download limit. You might need to do it on your PC, then transfer to your card.

I did directly download the MP3 to my computer, which cost me $5.99 (I really wanted the sound!). The DL (mp3) was about 1 meg. The ringtone DL was 2.99, but it didn't work. I don't know if the ringtone is a larger file, there was no file info. I tried signing up at ringtone sites but when I enter my phone number in the sites I haven't been able to get the ringtone. Cingular's site, which had the ringtone I wanted, doesn't work with the Treo 650 (anybody know why?) Anybody know any decent ringtone sites?

I used 3gforfree before I got my Treo and for a little while after getting my 650. After that, there was another site but it's been shut down. After that, I just went with making my own from my own music for quite some time, until I got Lightwav Pro a couple months ago. Guess I'm not much help to you, sorry.

I've heard of a couple Sprint sites but you need Cingular, right?

Yeah, Cingular, and if I could make music I wouldn't be fooling around with this gadget, I'be making music!

    Thanks anyway!
