Ok...here are my thoughts after a week. I had been an advit Plam user up until about a year ago when I switched from PC to a 12" Mac PowerBook. I decided that I would give the smart phone a shot and bring the palm back into my life.
In comes the Treo 650. from a buisness stand pointe, it is totally the bomb! I use Missing Sync (owned a copy from the old palm) with my Mac's Entourage and it's as smooth as a baby's...well you get the pic. Navigation is awesome using both or just one thumb. I was pretty quick in my day's with Graffiti, but the switch has been smooth.
I also ordered a Speck (blue) case with it and I'm very pleased with it's function. I am an advite cyclist and the real test came to lugging in my back jersey pocket on rides. Actually stuffing it into an old cycling glove and droping it into my middle pocket works just fine. With the case i got the Plantronics 2500...the jury is still out on it.
All in all it's a great phone & plam combo. One of the best pieces of advise I've seen on here is to treat the palm as an operating system and know the software you are installing. That can save you alot of head aches down the road.
Does anyone have an idea where I can download the update for my Treo 650 so that the tomtom navigation 5 or w/e will work because right now it still says no GPS device... Please someone help me
