Out of memory?
Just joined the site but have been reading for a while.
Today i attempted encode a dvd for my sprint treo 650. I got the avi file down to about 375 megs or so and i tried to play it on TCPMP and i keep getting an error that blinks in the top right corner. It says "Out of memory" but the other random videos that i have still play just fine...
Anybody know what is going on? I have about 9 megs of empty space on the internal memory.

same thing happens to my treo. I've been trying to play bejeweled which has always worked fine on my treo - suddenly it says it can't run cos it needs 1.5mb of memory to run - i still have about 3mb on my internal memory. What's up?

i have found a solution.
It seems that palm desktop converts the .avi movie file into a 375meg .asf file prior to loading it onto the phone (actually before adding to the palm desktop then after a hot-sync it loads it to the phone)
The .avi file is really only 83megs. The simple way i figured to get past it is i put my memory card into my digital camera and connected it to the computer. I just copy pasted to the external disk through My Computer.
Popped the disk back into the phone and boom it works. The file is an 1h52m 83 meg .avi file on my phone and TCPMP runs it just fine.

Another thing to look into is the Palm equivalent of Defrag: UDMH.
