Palm Treo unlocked GSM 650

:angry: ! Who knew that upon buying my used unlocked Palm 650 would cause me so much trouble?!

Does anyone know how I can make my phone work with a Tmobile sims card which I was told that ANY sims card would work? Cingular and Tmobile still hasn't gotten back to me about my issues. I have a phone that I can only text message and make calls. No media, internet or anything else!

Hi and welcome to ET:

So it sounds like the Treo is working and unlocked as you are able to text and make calls. Do you have a data plan with the new carrier (TMo?)? I don't think you will be able to access the Internet without a data plan provisioned to your account.

Was that done when you activated your phone with the new carrier? I am sure there will be additional monthly charges for data....

You will need a data plan. It runs 5.99 per month. Once you get that, you will need to set up the phone.Preferred settings are below:

IP address is 216.155.165.050
secondary - blank
APN - wap.voicestream.com
Data bearer GPRS
Profile name - GPRS
Bearer - Data
Homepage -http://wap.myvoicestream.com

You can set your homepage to whatever you want. These are the preferred settings.
