Did you installed any programs just before you has this problem. What service are you on There are any number of reasons fro what has happened. You may have some corrupted application files Have you tried the reset button or done a warm reset. Look in your user manual or check some of the threads in this form about the different kinds of resets. Have you tried taking out the sim card and waiting and putting it back in. If you installed any programs you need to uninstall them and then reinstall them one at a time and isolate which program may have caused the problem. If you can get the treo working depending on your carrier you can dial in a code most gsm is #*377 and hit dial and it may give you the name of the app and or a code at wehere the problems started which caused the reset in the first place. If its a CDMA phone like Sprint or verizon or altel it will be a different code. Theres threads which talk about the code in the ET 650 forum. Goog luck. Please reply if your still having problems or to report success.

If you have tried a soft reset and it does not work, then you will need to do a hard reset. (you will lose your data). If the hard reset doesn't try the zero out reset. If it keeps looping then it may be time to contact your carrier about another phone....insurance??

Back up here, before doing a hard reset, try a warm reset. Go to Palm.com, select the device and then search for resets - the 650/700p are the same and read about doing a warm reset - it will stop the device from looping, as it does not allow it to load drivers/programs.

Difference between soft and warm reset? Does different resets fix different problems or is it hit and miss kind of thing?

    yes
soft reset usually just recalbriate everything. (something along that line)

A warm reset can usually help take the device out of a endless reset loop.
