    Default phone problems

i have a treo 650 with telus that has a fault and i`m wondering if anyone can help.

a while ago my phone developed a fault, if i made a phone call i could connect to the other caller but they would not be able to hear me and i could not hear them. also the speakerphone option does not now appear when the call is connected.

i performed a zero reset and this cured the fault.now though the fault has re appeared and reseting it has not cured the fault .

everything else works including alarms ,ringtones etc.

    thanks,

Sounds like you have the dreaded headphone jack flaw. Not uncommon to 650s. Search these boards using "headphone jack" as a search term and you should find a number of threads.

Some find that plugging and unplugging the wired headphone can free up the sticking contact. Others find that installing VolumeCare Pro is the solution as it has a bypass built in. If you are handy you can find some how-tos on resoldering at YouTube and elsewhere.

In any case if you do get it operational, do not use the wired earphone. Use a Bluetooth device.

Thanks for that, I tried the trial version and bypassed the headphone jack and it worked.

I was unaware of the issue with the headphone jack but I am now.

    Thanks
