Picture mail help

whenever i receive a picture mail or text message my phone cuts off and resets automatically. has anyone had this problem and if so how can i resolve the issue? I have the sprint treo and my online album shows the pix but my phone never recieves them... is there a way to restore your phone to a previous state through a hot sync maybe? anyone help please i hear chris is helpful! thanx in advance...

Hey Chi, it could be a lot of reasons why your Treo is resetting when u receive picture mail. Does it do the same thing when u receive regular SMS messages? after it resets try typing ##377# in the phone dialer to see the error log, that can help you pinpoint the problem as well. good luck

thanx going to try now but yes with sms texts the same thing. I already deleted some third part apps to no avail any other suggestion would be helpful. let u know if that # thing works if not I won't post so take it as HELP!

so far so good! it looks like ##337# worked... it said the app called volume care was running so I deleted it and so far no more cut off. I'm going to reinstall my apps including that one but this time one by one day by day to see if it persists. but thanx a mill teezee I almost went crazy... not my treo!

hi teezee, ifaced the same problem like chichi; phone resets automatically when i try to delete sms with the chat icon displayed. somehow funny when i managed to purge the rest of the sms received except the one i mentioned earlier.

the unit also resets whenever someone send sms. i have tried your suggestion using ##377# during the booting up process like chichi have done, but still failed after several tries. can u please be more specific as to when and what should i go about dealing with this problem. maybe i overlook the steps that u mentioned.

From the phone app(as if you were making a call) when you hit ##377# it should tell you what caused the reset. But you gotta do it right after the problem happens. what is the error saying?

I'm having similar problem with text messages causing a reset on my Treo 700p from Sprint. I've deleted the messaging database several times to no avail. The error log says DataMgr.c line 7642, Invalid unique ID passed. I ran dbFixIt and it did not find any problems.
