    Default Please Help Me!!!!

Hi everyone, first post here and I need help!
Right to the chase... I want to start with a hard reset on my treo 650 and I did it perfectly but when I hotsync it, the hotsync reinstalls all my previous apps I just deleted. Ive tried to shut down all conduits and it doesnt work. I would reinstall palm os, but I really really dont want to have to re-enter all contacts and calender info. Anyway to clear out the palm database except for contacts and calender.... so I can hotsync but not reinstall all the buggy apps I tried to get rid of... thanks in advance!!!

    Hello Stryprod,

This is Kevin from Palm. First hotsync. Then rename your Backup folder to "Backup.old". Your Backup folder is in your device's User Folder on your computer. If you're not sure where that is, check here.

Perform a HotSync operation to restore the personal data in your built-in applications.

Note: Because you renamed the original Backup folder (which contains your third-party applications) to "Backup.old", none of your third-party applications will be restored to your device. A new, blank Backup folder will be created in the User Folder directory.

The HotSync operation will not affect the applications in the original folder that you renamed to "Backup.old". They are still there if you want to reinstall any of them.

    Hope that helps.

    Sincerely
    Kevin
