Please Verify Server Name - email issue

When trying to recieve/send emails using VersaMail I keep getting this error:

"Unable to connect to mail.optusnet.com.au. Please verify your server name entry"

I use the software that came with the Treo to setup the Account on VersaMail, using an existing and perfectly functioning account on Outlook, so the settings are transferred to the Treo, without me having to enter anything except the password (which im 100% sure is correct). I don't understand why the settings on Outlook when imported to the Treo, using the software, constantly gives me this error when it's exactly the same settings. The software also performs a connection test and sends an email to the Treo confirming the Account is setup and ready to go. I have also tried creating the account myself on VersaMail using the same settings on outlook and to no avail.

My ISP uses:

• POP3 Sever
• Does not require SPA or SMTP Authentication

Any help would be very much appreciated, as I totally have no idea what I'm doing wroing.

I am having the same problem with my gmail account. It was working fine for 4 months and this error started just a few days ago. "Unable to connect to pop.gmail.com. Please verify your server name entry"

Any luck with yours?
