    Default pocket tunes frezze

I'm trying to install pocket tunes..,wait let me rewind.

i installed ptunes to my 650 as well as to my pc. i'm trying to get music from my pc on to ptunes. but every time i start up ptunes it tells me it's talking to my pc and searching for music (good i guess) but then it stays like that and my media player says it's looking for the device and freezes up too.

there was a certian file that they promted me to install so that the 650 and pc could transfer music (which i did) but it keeps freezing.

with anyones use of ptunes how long is too long for ptunes on the 650 to talk to the pc

This isn't a fix, more of a workaround. I don't use the desktop media player to transfer. I just copy my mp3s directly to the SD card with either a card reader or Card Export.

Jeff calls it a work around, but I call it the way to do business when transferring large files to / PC/Treo. I have a built in SD card reader on my laptop. Its easier/quicker to drag the MP-3's/Movies/pictures to the card and then plug the card back into the Treo.

I have to second this. I also have a built-in reader on my laptop and I bought the SanDisk reader for my desktop. I found out about drag & drop vs. sync'ing while trying to sync movies I'd converted on my desktop PC to the Treo...painful with freeze-ups like you're getting, painfully slow when it worked.
