Default Pocket Tunes on the card?

I have a question, I have searched and cannot find an answer. Must Pocket tunes reside in main memory to work properly? I have downloaded the trial and have it residing on my card and it works, plays music and streams radio, but the shortcut on my launcher keeps disappearing. I see the app on my card page and keep creating a shortcut icon for the main launcher page but after I open up Pocket Tunes and use it, then shut it down - the darn icon has dissappeared from the main launcher page.

I really appreciate any help here, Pocket Tunes seems awesome, but I need to know where it must be before I buy it. It seems to eat about 5MB of main memory.

If you want PTunes to work with other applications, then it has to be in main memory.

It is a great program with exceeding excellent support. Another application to look at though is Kinoma (http://kinoma.com/) and of course, I have both.

I already have Kinoma too, and love it, especially for video; but on using the trial version of Pocket Tunes for a few days I found some big enough differences to warrant owning them both. I love the visual interface of PT and their internet radio catalog seems a bit bigger and of course I have already downloaded about 10 skins for PT :laugh3:

I went and bought PT from the Palm.com website, they are having a 20% software sale until 1/18/08.

    Thanks again for your help.

I played with the wife's Centro last night a bit more with special attention to pTunes and was impressed. I loaded it on my 700P and liked the changes, but it is not enough for me to upgrade to the latest release on my 700p. Great program though.

well, even the upgrade may be on sale. I got the most current revision, 4.0.5 I think for $24 and it now plays both .wma and .mp3, which is great because my ripped library is a mix of both.
