problem syncing treo with ical on mac book pro i just got a new mac book pro and i was trying to sync my treo 650 with it. i downloaded the palm desktop as well as the isync conduit 1.2. when i install isync conduit, it gives me an error message. when i open isync, the phone icon does not show up as one of the devices.
so i went and bought the missing sync but that just made the problem worse. i tried to sync the treo with ical but it didn't work. it gave me an error message saying that there's a conduit conflict. i later found out that the conflict is due to the fact that both 'the missing sync' and palm's hotsync is accessing the same database. the mark/space site suggest that i open hotsync and disable the sync option but when i open hotsync it gave me an error message saying that hotsync can not be open because of library conflict.
i uninstalled 'the missing sync' and the treo is syncing fine with palm desktop but it still doesn't work with ical.
i think it's possible that the isync conduit 1.2 does not work with isync 2.4 on my mac. and 'the missing sync' seems to be a program that relies on hotsync and isync conduit. isn't the point of the program to provide another synchonization option other than through the isync conduit?
does anyone else have this same problem? any suggestions? |
