problem with aol instant messaging

I recently installed aol to my 650, last week my instant messaging stopped working I could send out messages, but incoming, I was not recieving the text but hearing the sound that the message was being responded to... no help from aol... that was quit obvious... has anyone had a polling problem like this? I bought the software from fandango and its version 3.3 .... its weird it worked till last weekend and my wife's treo is doing the same thing we use verizion as our carrier...anyone have any suggestions or help with this?

this is just wierd. I'm having the same problem and I posted this on another site and others are also having the same problem. We all have Verizon as well, so now I'm thinking it's not AOL like we were all thinking and that it is a Verizon issue. What should we do? All of us started having this problem last week after it worked fine for a while. I'm calling them now.

Thats interesting so this is a problem with either verizion or aol I dont believe aol knows how to deal with it since their tech support for pda is terrible, what part of the country are you in maybe this polling problem is just with verizion on the east coast...what ever it is very annoying and costly to recieve text messages.. let alone know one seems to be able to help!!
