Default problem with excel files in docs to go

Hi,

Whenever I try opening an excel file in documents to go, my treo always goes into a soft reset...regardless of how big the excel file is (I even tried a blank one). When opening word and powerpoint, even the large ones, it does fine.

Hope someone can help with my problem. Thanks!

Btw, I already did a hard reset and re-installed my treo programs in the hopes of fixing this but to no avail.

Free space on phone is 7.6 M of 21M. Is this enough or do I have to delete more stuff?

Thanks.

That should be sufficient. Have you uninstalled DTG, executed a soft reset and then reinstalled it?

Also there is a utility (may be built in to your version) that allows DTG to have its nonessentials moved to the card.

Hi:

I used to have the same problem. In my case it would reset with a Word or Excel document and the DataViz support site has a tool that corrected it for me. You might want to take a look as I am not sure which versions had the problem. I am running an older version, 7 I think:

I hope this helps,

The "Tool" moves parts of the application to the SD card, which results in freeing up memory. This indicates that memory is a premium on your device and a close look at your main device memory usage may be needed. Often times a good third party launcher helps out.

Hey guys,

I fixed my treo! The Dataviz Tech tool (deleting the preferences) worked for me. Thanks for all the advice.

Then if you feel like playing, look at one of the better third party lauchers. ZLauncher and Initiate are excellent ones.
