Problems???
This is a new thread to discuss multiple announcements about the poor reception and complains of people who cannot hear a conversation with people using Treo 650 with Sprint. I am one of such users who keep receiving complains from people who call me and cannot hear what i am saying cause the conversation keeps cuting in and out. I have made some tests using other Sprint phones from the same location and they seem to work fine. Also my brother, who bought a Treo after me, recently told me about many complains of users with the same problem. Please feel free to bring your issuesin regards to connection and transmission.

update
Hello treouser,
This is Kevin from palmOne. Have you installed the Treo 650 Updater 1.08 (Sprint PCS)? This addressed a number of issues, including voice quality improvements for the complaints you've described. You can find this update at the palmOne site here.
Sincerely
Kevin

i'll try it
thanks kevin. my treo has the latest updates but not this one. i will try it with the update and will follow up on this thread. by the way, is there a way to back up all the data in the treo into the simm card? i am afraid that i might loose the data and lately i changed my comp. and installed all the microsoft user data into it, including entourage data. the computer has all the new data but the treo doesnt want to sync with it cause it says that this data is linked to another user. any help?

backup
Hello treouser,
Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with GSM models. As far as I know, a SIM cards houses your mobile phone number, authenticiation key, some speed dial numbers (which can be copied over from the Treo, see here), and perhaps some specific applications from your wireless service provider.
There are a number of backup solutions available and a search of this forum may provide you with some recommendations, if no one adds them to this thread.
I'm not certain about the data linked to another user issue, other than to wonder if you accidentally changed your user name while transferring to the new computer. You might check this possibility against two PalmOne Knowledge Library articles that may provide you with leads: Your device's User Name
Change or delete your device's User Name
Sincerely
Kevin

No, not to the SIM card but you absoluteley can to an SD card. I use Backup Man but there are a few other good ones as well.
