Problems calling and sending Text msgs
Recently start having problems making calls and sending text messages. I have reset the Treo but still having problems. I have been unsuccessful with Palm troubleshooting. Need you help!

you will need to be more specific about "problems making calls and sending text messages" for folks to offer help.
is the phone (radio-ridiculous phrase) turned on? can you receive either? does attempting to send cause resetss? does it fail or is it just losing signal?
all sorts of issues possible, some with very simple, others very complex answers.
back to you!

The Treo is turn on but it appears that I’m not receiving a signal or it losing its signal but when a call is received it just disconnects the call (call ended) after about 30 seconds. When the phone is first turn on in the morning I received one or two of the text msgs, from the previous day but in order to receive any other text msg I have to turn the phone off and on. I have reset the phone and still does not make and send a text msg. Get back with me.

Didn't I read here that some treos have had to upgrade their sim card for issues like this? Does your treo have a sim card?

Thanks for the reply and I have previously upgraded the sim card.

I believe I also read about having to upgrade the SIM tray. Do you know if that was done? I think the problem trays were a bit loose and people used to insert something like the thickness of a business card behind the tray. I don't have a GSM phone so I haven't done this personally.
If you have Cingular, take a look at this article describing the loose tray and how to identify it:

You are not offering a lot of information about your phone, the programs on it (third party software), who your provider is, etc. This doesn't make offering suggestions easy. For example, when you say you upraded the sim, did you go from a 32 to a 64? Did you change the brand of card?
When you say you have reset, what type of reset? You may need to do a Hard Reset or a Zero Out reset. Here is a link to descriptions of the various resets:

See if any of that information leads you in the right direction.
