Default question about data synchronization

The situation is that I want to be able to sync contacts, tasks and notes with outlook, and calendar with palm desktop.

With my Treo 600 this wasn't a problem at all. Palm Desktop had all the information, and outlook happily sync'd everything except for calendar. Is it possible to do this with the 650? From what I've found in the options, it's either do or die... you put all your info in outlook, or all of it in palm desktop.

Please tell me there is a happy medium?

I think it might be possible through a third-party application. I vaguely remember something called 'sync-all'?

You might be able to do it by first installing the Outlook conduits and then changing the one that you want to just sync with Palm Dekstop to sync there. *I think* that is possible, as I know that I do sync to both OL and PalmDesktop (to OL with KeySuite, and Palm Desktop as I havent turned that part off) and that works.

I don't use keysuite, and I've been unable to find any kind of option that will allow me to do what I want. With my 600 I just sync'd with palm desktop and had pocketmirror set up with conduits for contacts/tasks/notes. However pocketmirror supposedly doesn't work with the 650.

Ah. Try pocketmirror XT (chapura.com); its not free but should do what you are asking as its pocket mirror but enhanced for the new Palm PIM apps.
