Question about the Date Book (please HELP)
Just got the Treo 650 a couple of days ago and love it. I have one question I hope someone can help me with. I installed Date Book5 on the Treo and it works fine except it uses the green phone key instead and the calendar key to open it. Now when I try and make a call I have to go to the list then open my contacts. I have gone into the "buttons" and tried to change it but you can't change the send key. I removed the Date Book and the send key worked fine then re-installed it and have the same problem. Anyone know what I can do, I absolutely love the Date Book5 software and would love to be able to use it. Please let me know, thanks.

Hi philaz1 please go to this page and click, download, and install "btnfix.prc" http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...337#post643337
It is a utility made by the maker of takephone to remap applications that use your phone buttom. When you installed datebook 5 you should have said "no " to the question of would you like date book to use the calender button because the treo dosent use the standard calender button. After you install button fix "btnfix" open it on the treo and hit the obvious button which says something like "fix phone button". Then go prefs, buttons and set the calender button for date book 5. this will let you cycle through the datebook5 viewes like normal. Also think about doing a search for you questions on a site full of information such as www.treocentral.com.

Thanks jamespaulritter
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. The btnfix worked like a champ. I sat on hold with Verizon for about 30 minutes and was transfered to 4 different people and they were not able to help me. This was ofcourse before I read your reply. It took all of 30 seconds to fix the problem with the right information. Thanks again, Phil.;)
