Questions about Treo 650

Hey guys -- new to the board just got a few questions. I am looking into getting a Treo 650 for Verizon. What do I need/do/buy to get my Treo to do phone/e-mail/instant messaging (Yahoo/AIM)/appointments/internet access/GPS (driving directions). I am soooo confused. Also how much should I expect to pay for the unit and the service? Thanks.

Your phone will for the most part come ready to do all that you mentioned. You'll have to download a program like Verichat for AIM/MSN, which is like $20 or so. For everything else, you'll need an internet plan which you can find on Verizon's site. I think Verizon is selling the phone for $400 and that's about what you're going to find for Verizon's Treo anywhere since it just came out. The amount for service is your phone plan + internet plan, which you can also find on Verizon's site. You'll figure every thing else out easily once you get the phone.
