Recharging Pattern For Treo 650 Users...

I would like to know how to charge the TREO 650 for max battery performance and life. I currently always wait till the battery indicator turns red or very low like about 10% before i charge it fully for about 2 hrs till the led turns Green before i unplug for use.

There are some who say its better to charge the TREO every now and then even if it might be at 75% battery, sorta just topping it off. Which is the better way to go about it to get the 2 most important things out of the Battery,,,, Performance & Lifetime.

Treo's use Li-Ion (Lithium Ion) batteries and Li-Ion batteries like to be kept topped off. I believe that letting them run down to the "red zone" before charging actually can shorten the battery life. Nickle Hydride batteries can develop a "memory" and should be run down to zero and fully charged the first few charges and allowed to get pretty low between full charges....Old technology.
